Application and functionality:

These tools are intended for performing maintenance and repair work on the timing system, such as checking and adjusting the timing or replacing the timing chain.

• Locking Camshafts: Fix the camshafts in the correct position using the locking tools (T40133).
• Crankshaft Locking: Lock the crankshaft at top dead center (TDC) with the locking pin (T40069).
• Crankshaft Turning: Allows manual turning of the engine via the crankshaft pulley using the special turning tool (3212).
• Fixing the timing chain tensioner: Hold the timing chain tensioner depressed during installation or removal using the locking pin (T40071) and holders (T10172).
• Aligning camshaft adjusters: The special socket wrench (T40058) is used for the central bolt of the camshaft adjuster.
