VT01864 | Ford - 2.0/2.2/2.4/3.2L (Duratorq) | Timing set (9-piece)

The timing chain kit (VT01864) is a 9-piece set designed for servicing the timing chain on Ford 2.0, 2.2, 2.4, and 3.2-liter Duratorq diesel engines. The tool is used to lock the flywheel and secure the crankshaft and high-pressure fuel pump in the correct timing position.

The kit includes specific tools for removing the high-pressure pump , adjusting the engine cover and crankshaft seal , and various locking pins for the flywheel and tensioner pulley. All parts are supplied in a plastic storage case for transport and storage.

Application and functionality:

This kit is used to perform various maintenance work on the timing system, such as replacing the timing chain and dismantling the fuel pump.

• Locking the flywheel: Two pins (OEM 303-675, 303-698) for locking the flywheel in the correct timing position.
• Disassembling the high pressure pump: A disassembly tool (OEM 303-249) and a pulley holder (OEM 303-1151) allow removal of the pump.
• Adjusting the crankshaft seal: Tools (OEM 303-679A and 303-682) for correctly positioning the engine cover and the crankshaft seal.
• Fixing of components: Various pins for locking the tension roller (2 mm) and other components (6 mm).
