VT01865 | VAG - 1.0/1.2/1.4L (TSI) | Timing set (6-piece)

The timing kit (VT01865) is a set of tools for locking the crankshaft and camshafts on VAG 1.0, 1.2, and 1.4-liter TSI and MPI petrol engines (EA211 series). This kit is designed for performing maintenance on the timing system, such as replacing the timing belt.

The kit includes specific tools for locking the crankshaft and camshaft sprockets, a timing belt tensioner wrench , and a camshaft positioner adjustment tool. All parts are supplied in a plastic storage case.

Application and functionality:

These tools are designed to correctly perform timing belt maintenance on VAG EA211 engines.

• Crankshaft Locking: The crankshaft locking pin is used to fix the crankshaft in the TDC (Top Dead Center) position.
• Camshaft Locking: Locking plates are placed on the camshaft sprockets to lock them in the correct position during maintenance.
• Adjusting the tensioner: The tension wrench is used to correctly adjust and tension the timing belt tensioner.
• Adjusting the camshaft adjuster: A specific tool is used to check and adjust the timing of the variable camshaft adjuster.
