Jaltest JT3001 | Trickle charger

The Jaltest JT3001 is an automatic battery charger and trickle charger designed for charging both 6V and 12V batteries. It delivers a maximum charging current of 1A and is suitable for batteries with capacities from 2Ah to 40Ah . The charger is compatible with various types of lead-acid batteries, including WET , MF , VRLA , CALCIUM , AGM , and GEL . Its compact size and light weight make it easy to use and store.

This battery charger uses a fully automatic, 8-step charging cycle that analyzes, recovers, charges, and maintains the battery. A special recovery mode can reactivate deeply discharged batteries. The housing has an IP65 rating , meaning it is dustproof and splashproof. For safe operation, the JT3001 is equipped with overload , short circuit , and reverse polarity protection. Built-in temperature compensation adjusts the charging voltage based on the ambient temperature for an efficient charging process.

Application and functionality:

The JT3001 is designed for charging and maintaining batteries in passenger cars, motorcycles, ATVs and other vehicles using 6V or 12V lead-acid batteries.

• Automatic Charging: The charger goes through an 8-step charging process, including diagnosis, recovery, bulk charging and maintenance, without the need for manual settings.
• Maintenance function (trickle charge): After completing the charging process, the charger automatically switches to a maintenance mode to keep the battery at an optimal voltage level, which extends its lifespan.
• Battery recovery: A special function is built in to recover deeply discharged or sulphated batteries by means of a controlled pulse charging process.
• Safety mechanisms: The system is protected against incorrect connection (reverse polarity), short circuit and overheating, which ensures safe operation.
• Temperature compensation: An internal sensor measures the ambient temperature and adjusts the charging voltage accordingly, ensuring optimal charging results in both cold and warm conditions.
• IP65 protection: The housing is completely sealed, providing protection against dust ingress and water jets from any angle.

The charger is compatible with a wide range of 6V and 12V lead-acid batteries.

• AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat): Sealed batteries in which the electrolyte is absorbed in glass fiber mats, often used in start-stop systems.
• CALCIUM: Lead-acid batteries with calcium alloys in the plates for reduced water loss and a longer life.
• GEL: VRLA batteries in which the electrolyte is bound in a gel, making them maintenance-free and leak-proof.
• MF (Maintenance Free): Sealed batteries that do not require topping up during their lifespan.
• VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead Acid): A general category for sealed, maintenance-free batteries such as AGM and GEL.
• WET (Wet Cell): Traditional, unsealed lead-acid batteries with liquid electrolyte.
